Welcome to Venetian Islands

Prevailing over all other residential communities in South Florida, the Venetian Islands are a string of barrier islands lapped in luxury and engrained in history. Located off the shores of Biscayne Bay, the Venetian Islands represent a necklace of six artificial islands running from west to east including Biscayne Island, San Marco Island, San Marino Island, Di Lido Island, Rivo Alto Island and Belle Island. Connected to the mainland via the Venetian Causeway, this pristine neighborhood is conveniently situated in between Downtown Miami and Miami Beach.

Headed west on the Venetian Causeway, residents will find the American Airlines Arena (home of the NBA World Champions, The Miami Heat), Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Bayside Marketplace, Miami World Center, Virgin Miami Central and Port of Miami, which houses some of the largest and most exclusive cruise ships in the world. Headed east on the Venetian Causeway, the epicenter of South Beach and Lincoln Road is accessible within minutes, exiting off 17th street.

The Venetian Islands, though a waterfront pantheon of luxury real estate, is also a land entrenched with history. Biscayne Island was originally used as an airport during the 1930s, housing the Viking Airport along with a hanger, seaplane ramps and a 2,600-foot sod runway. Closed in 1937, prominent real estate developers saw a small pocket of vision to create a residential enclave of luxury homes, though much of the land was still underwater.

Building roads, sidewalks and seawalls, this once uninhabited land became a pendant of grand estates, waterfront mansions and balmy tropical bungalows sought after by local and international buyers from across the world. From homes offering exquisite outdoor rooms with private dockage to memorable interiors featuring everything from luxury accoutrements, gourmet chef kitchens and spa-like bathrooms with walk-in glass enclosed showers and floating tubs, there is something for everyone to adore.

However, what’s most exceptional about the Venetian Islands, is its sun-kissed skyline and sunset painted panoramic views of Biscayne Bay. Making for idyllic family friendly experiences, there is no better place to raise children and create memories than inside this treasure cove of islands. Quiet and quaint, children can take an after-school bike ride with friends or walk their dogs, with their safety secure. A popular stretch for weekend mid-morning strolls, this gentle causeway is a favorite amongst locals for jogging or watching the sunrise before heading to The Standard Spa or Sunset Harbour for brunch.

A family-oriented backdrop, there are an abundance of nationally acclaimed public and private schools nearby including North Beach Elementary, Nautilus Middle School, Miami Beach Senior High School, Lehrman Community Day School, The Montessori Academy at St. John’s, The Cushman School, Miami Country Day School, Ransom Everglades School, and Coconut Grove Montessori School. University of Miami, one of the top research institutions in the country, is in proximity.

Miami International Airport is located approximately 20 minutes away. Neighborhoods bordering the area comprise of North Beach, Mid Beach, South Beach, Sunset Harbour, South of Fifth, Miami Design District, Brickell and Coconut Grove.
